The president of the Republic also stressed that political-ideological work “must be present everywhere,” while “both institutions and cadres need to be well prepared.”

Diaz-Canel advised that institutions should also participate in public debates, particularly on social media, to argue and explain.

He also referred to the existing inefficiencies in the state’s collection and marketing of agricultural products, according to a report on national television.

The 10th Plenary Session of the PCC Central Committee reviewed a broad range of issues this Friday related to the functioning of Cuba’s Young Communist League, the fight against corruption, crime, and illegal activities, as well as the government’s plans to correct distortions and boost the economy.
