Seven congresses feature the program for this biennial event, which will bring together more than 500 Cuban and foreign delegates from nearly twenty countries until July 5.
As part of the first meeting of the scientific sector, Cuban residents abroad advocated for strengthening cooperation on environmental preservation projects.
Additionally, Cubans living in Turkiye, Germany, and Angola supported the initiative to build alliances and programs to address the proper management of coastal marine ecosystems, search for financing and technological resources to restore watersheds and the national power grid, and achieving food and nutritional security.
Law 150/2022 on the Natural Resources and Environment System, enacted by Cuba, was also presented in book format this Thursday.
The exhibition fair, which boosts the exchange of sustainable technologies, experiences, and practices in different contexts, will launch books, sign agreements, and host other activities.
Under the slogan “More Awareness for a Sound Environment,” the delegates participate in events such as the 15th Congress on Environmental Education for Sustainable Development, the 14th Congress on Protected Areas, the 12th Congress on Environmental Management, and the 10th Congress on Ecosystem and Biodiversity Management, among others.
