The head of state gave up participating in the traditional vigil at the Historic House of Tucuman where the Argentine independence proclamation was signed on July 9, 1816.
From the presidency they claimed that the fog could prevent their return to Buenos Aires; however, the part of the National Meteorological Service turned out a denial, in reality only three governors, including the local, confirmed when 18 participated last year.
“The fog provided him with the perfect excuse to avoid the cardboard and, by the way, not go to the country party.
La Casa Rosada argued climatic reasons, but the truth is that the governors left the President alone”, commented this morning the news service MinutoUno.
For its part, Pagina12 notes: “Angry because the governors turned their backs on him and were g oing to leave him alone in front of the Historic House, President Javier Milei canceled his trip to Tucuman to participate in the Independence Day event”.
With a little help from the forces of the sky, the president said that the fog that covers Buenos Aires city this Tuesday was the reason that prevented him to fly.
However, there were commercial flights to that province during the afternoon which negates that argument, the newspaper added.
“The truth is that, beyond the weather conditions, Milei grumbled all day for the rejection against his government that has come from the forces of the earth,” points out the newspaper.
