“The consequences of those steps are yet to be assessed, but it can be stated with certainty that continuing to arm the Kiev regime, to put it mildly, does not contribute to the peaceful solution of the conflict to which the international community, including the Western bloc, is now calling”, said the diplomat in statements to the press.
In that sense, the spokesperson of the Russian nation´s Ministry argued that the escalation position is also maintained from Europe towards Ukraine, at the same time added that they are not interested in the well-being of its citizens and Ukrainians.
Washington, last week, announced the suspension of specific weapons and ammunition shipments to Kiev.
However, on Monday, the White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, clarified that the measure responded to a usual review of all military aid provided by the northern nation worldwide, not only focused on the Slavic country.
And after this clarification, on the eve, US President Donald Trump announced his approval for the resumption of the shipment to Ukraine of “various” defense weapons.
As for the type and quantity of weapons that continue to arrive on Ukrainian territory from the United States, the Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, detailed that “it will still take time to clarify definitively”, while reiterating that “there is a lot of discordant information” on the subject.
“It is clear that the shipments are continuing, as far as we know. It is clear that the Europeans are also actively arming Ukraine, and it is clear that these actions are not part of attempts to promote a peaceful solution.
There are numerous contradictory statements”, said the Kremlin spokesman in statements to the press.
