The citizens – 90 men and 12 women – are accused of violating immigration laws, sale of controlled substances, theft, falsification of official documents and other crimes.
The locals arrived at the Jose Francisco Pena Gomez International Airport of the Americas on a flight from the state of Louisiana.
According to airport authorities, some of the repatriated were detained by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during immigration raids, while others served sentences in different prisons in the United States.
Upon arrival in the national territory, they were transferred under strict security measures to the Haina Vacation Reception Center, where they will undergo a process of identification, psychological evaluation and orientation for their eventual reintegration into society.
