The humanitarian aid organization indicated in a statement that the shipments are being carried out in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) and in compliance with royal directives.
A convoy of 40 trucks loaded with basic food items had crossed into this coastal enclave, it clarified.
According to the JHCO statement, this convoy was organized in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP) and is part of Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the population of Gaza.
The organization indicated that the humanitarian aid will be distributed in the northern part of the Strip to ensure that food aid reaches the most affected families, in coordination with local partners within Gaza.
The resumption of convoys comes amid the continued deterioration of humanitarian and living conditions in Gaza.
JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli stated that the resumption of convoys reflects Jordan’s strong commitment, under the leadership of King Abdullah, to supporting the Palestinian people.
He emphasized the importance of cooperation with the WFP to improve food security in Gaza, adding that the organization has been working daily in recent months on food-related projects in the Strip, including bakeries, community kitchens, and the distribution of food and drinking water.
