“During the meeting, they discussed collaboration in postgraduate studies and joint academic events, with a view to strengthening scientific and humanistic cooperation and promoting research and innovation projects,” the Cuban Embassy in Mexico City explained.
Through a message on its social media account X, the diplomatic mission reported that the Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires, Nelson Ocana, and the Education Counselor, Rosa Alvarez, were also present at the meeting.
As part of a working visit to the United States, the Minister also met yesterday with the Mexican Undersecretary of Higher Education, Ricardo Villanueva.
According to information released by the Cuban Embassy, the two officials discussed strengthening alliances in strategic areas such as science, research and innovation, artificial intelligence, inclusion, and attention to diversity.
