More than 800 Palestinians killed by Israel while searching for food

Ramallah, July 13 (Prensa Latina) More than 800 Palestinians have been killed and another 5,252 injured during soldier attacks on Israeli-US aid distribution centers in Gaza since they opened in late May, an official source reported.

The Government Press Office in that territory informed that 42 people are missing as a result of these attacks that represent an engineered genocide under the auspices of the US administration and with the participation of several complicit countries.

Soldiers daily shootings against Palestinians who come for food at these centers are reported, a situation widely criticized by the United Nations and global NGOs.

For Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, the new system “has become a battlefield.”

This method falls far short of respecting the principle of humanity. It is not designed to combat hunger and is often justified under the pretext of a diviation of aid, an issue that has yet to be proven, he asserted.

Lazzarini noted that, instead of an orderly distribution of food, this mechanism generates dehumanization, chaos, and death.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) also criticized the mechanism, created by Israel and the United States.
