About 80 vital issues for the economic and social development of the nation make up the agenda for this Monday and Tuesday, as a prelude to the fifth regular session of the parliament, scheduled from Wednesday, in the Conventions Palace of this capital.

The PCs are responsible for the detailed assessment of issues that are strongly connected with the government’s program to correct distortions and revive the economy in each area of society, a central theme of the parliamentary meeting.

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero will update the plenary on the impact of the program’s measures, the fulfillment of its 10 objectives, the difficulties they face, as well as the actions implemented to correct and revive the economy in various areas.

According to the secretary of the NAPP, Homero Acosta, the parliamentarians will know the state of the economy in the first half of the year, the liquidation of the budget for the previous year and its planned execution for 2025.

It also carried out an analysis of the proposal of laws of the “Cuban Sports System”, the “General Regime of Contraventions and Administrative Sanctions”, the “Civil Registry” and the “Code of Childhood, Adolescence and Youth”.

The agenda will be marked by economic issues, although with the evaluation of the government program, starting from the intervention of the prime minister, almost all areas of the economy and society are examined, noted Acosta.
