At a ceremony recognizing the staff of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare for their work during the 12-day war, the president emphasized that everyone’s courage neutralized enemy plots.
“Although we lost invaluable lives, the solidarity of the people was even more precious,” Pezeshkian emphasized.
In the president’s assessment, the Israeli regime’s attempt to destabilize Iran by assassinating military commanders failed thanks to the guidance of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the decisive response of the Armed Forces.
According to the president, the Iranian people showed unprecedented determination, and the nation’s unity thwarted the plans of the aggressors who hoped for discontent and chaos.
Pezeshkian emphasized how even sectors previously alienated from the system, including former detainees and emigrants, rose up in defense of the Islamic Republic.
In the words of the Iranian president, “The unity we gained is priceless. A small minority chose the shame of betrayal, but the majority stood firm in the face of a savage, criminal, and genocidal regime.”
