After visiting her client a few days ago, the lawyer noted that the doctor now weighs just 60 kilograms, having lost about 40 since his arrest in December of last year.
On his Facebook page, Ghanem Qassem explained that he suffered blows to his chest, face, head, and neck, causing serious injuries.
She noted that Israeli prison authorities refused to provide him with the necessary treatment or medication and failed to refer him to a specialist, despite his irregular heartbeat.
The UN estimates that Israel has killed around 1,400 health workers since the start of the ongoing October 2023 war.
