According to the official statement, the forum, which will bring together more than two thousand global leaders in investment, logistics, and trade, consolidates Panama as the natural hub for connectivity, production, and business in the region.
The designation was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the head of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Julio Molto, and the president of the World Free Trade Zones Organization (WFZO), Mohamed Ahmed Al Zarooni, according to reports.
In this regard, Molto announced that the event will attract investment, sign agreements with leading free trade zones, and consolidate new opportunities for the logistics sector.
For his part, Al Zarooni emphasized that Panama is “a natural choice due to its privileged geographic location, resilient economy, and inspiring model.”
This achievement is the result of a strategy coordinated by the Ministry of International Trade (MICI), which included international missions, most notably the one led by the deputy minister of that ministry, Eduardo Arango, who presented the candidacy in Dubai last October, ensuring that Panama demonstrated its competitiveness as a logistics and trade platform.
