She also expressed her gratitude for the greetings from the President of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kim Yong Un; as well as from the Vice Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Prak Sokhonn; and the President of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.

This is our Revolution, the celebration of our national honor, our sovereignty, and our dignity. We liberated ourselves and continue to free ourselves now by working to eradicate poverty, Murillo stated.
The senior Sandinista leader noted that everyone knows the history of Nicaragua and how, despite their efforts, they have been prevented from fighting poverty.
“We have done it. They haven’t allowed us to move forward, but now, convinced, fully determined, unwavering militants in the struggle for the well-being of our people, we move forward.”
“With our people proud and happy, as we see the faces of pride and joy in the families, in the youth, in the comrades who throughout their lives have dedicated themselves to strengthening our independence, we see each and every one of us happy and proud to feel like worthy Nicaraguans in a growing love of homeland, worthy and brave by the grace of God,” he emphasized.
On July 19, 1979, the third and final armed revolution in Latin America and the Caribbean triumphed here, followed by the Mexican Revolution (1910) and the Cuban Revolution (1959).
