In the streets of this capital, as in the rest of the Central American country, a festive atmosphere reigns for the national holiday, with flags of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) adorning businesses, homes, and state institutions.
Over the past few days, various activities have been held here in honor of the Revolution, including people’s rallies, inaugurations of works, concerts, and art exhibitions, among others.
Likewise, a July 19 Sandinista Youth Congress was celebrated, in which the commitment to move forward alongside the government, led by Co-Presidents Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, was reaffirmed.
Delegations from several countries, including Cuba, are scheduled to arrive this Friday. They will accompany the Nicaraguan people and the highest authorities at the main anniversary’s commemoration. Representatives from Russia, Palestine, and Algeria arrived in Nicaragua the day before, and other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Africa are expected to arrive in the coming hours.
