Nigeria and Egypt sign aviation cooperation agreement

Abuja, 22 Jul (Latin Press) Nigeria and Egypt have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen existing cooperation in the aviation sector in Africa, the National News Agency said today.

According to reports, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Egyptian foreign minister, Badr Abdelatty, presided over the signing of the partnership.

Keyamo emphasized that the memorandum of understanding reflects both nations’ commitment to expand bilateral ties through aviation as a key driver of trade, tourism and diplomacy.

At the same time, the Nigerian incumbent expressed optimism that the partnership would open up new opportunities for technical cooperation, route expansion and joint investment in civil aviation infrastructure across the continent.

According to Keyamo, the agreement is a strategic step towards regional integration, better service delivery and greater connectivity in Africa.

In response, Abdelatty expressed his country’s readiness to strengthen bilateral relations with Nigeria in all sectors.

Also, the head of the Cairo diplomacy indicated that the two nations represent key pillars of stability and progress in Africa.
