“On July 22, in accordance with the agreement between Russia and Ukraine on indefinite sanitary exchanges reached in the Turkish city of Istanbul on June 2, two Russian servicemen in need of urgent medical care were brought from the territory controlled by Kiev,” the military body said.
The Russian servicemen are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving medical assistance and psychological support.
Russia and Ukraine resumed direct talks in the Turkish city of Istanbul on May 16 for the first time in more than three years.
On June 2, the two countries held the second round of negotiations in which they exchanged their ceasefire terms for a sustainable peace agreement.
They also agreed to exchange military prisoners under the age of 25, and those with serious injuries.
