We denounce the bill adopted by the Legislature, affirmed Palestinian National Authority (PNA) Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh, who recalled that this measure violates international norms and several resolutions of the United Nations Security Council(UNSC).
The only way to achieve regional peace and stability is by establishing an independent Palestinian state, the official said in a statement.
Rudeineh stressed that these dangerous calls to annex occupied Palestinian territories are a challenge to the world’s willingness.
Palestinian Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh, in turn, considered that the parliamentary vote not only represents a direct attack on the rights of West Bank residents but also a dangerous escalation that undermines the prospects for peace and stability.
Al-Sheikh stressed, “These unilateral Israeli measures flagrantly violate international law and the current consensus on the status of the occupied Palestinian territories.”
Palestinian National Council (PNC) Chairman Rawhi Fattouh also condemned the vote held in the Israeli chamber on Wednesday.
Fattouh warned that the measure is part of a racist legislation system, the aim of which is to consolidate the apartheid regime and the progressive annexation of our homeland.
