Hernandez assured that the new generations of Cubans are determined to fight against those who seek to snatch away the independence they had won, adding that Cuba’s current difficult economic situation is the result of the empire’s hatred and its attempts to restore capitalism.
He emphasized that it is up to everyone to fulfill their duty and responsibilities in every position they hold, without regard for possible glory and with unwavering faith in victory.
He particularly referred to the work of the aid workers in Angola, who provide services that benefit the people of both countries. “We reaffirm that we will defend our homeland with pride and honor,” he emphasized, adding that even though times are difficult in all areas, the spirit of the aid workers in this African country is to overcome problems and move forward in fulfilling the mission that brought them to these lands.
