On this transcendental date in Cuba’s history, we address you, brothers, with a greeting of respect and loyalty, the organization expressed in a message sent to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
The text remembers that the attacks, 72 years ago, on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons in eastern Cuba lit the spark of revolution against oppression and paved the way for the dream of national liberation and social justice.
It underscored that from Palestine and all lands yearning for dignity, we remember their sacrifices and persistence in the face of tyranny.
The Association affirmed that it inspired by the “firmness and history of the Cuban Revolution” as “a beacon that guides our daily battles for sovereignty and justice.”
Cuba taught us that freedom is conquered, and sincere words and courageous actions can change the course of history, it emphasized.
