In a meeting with former Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, the two leaders discussed the repercussions of the continuing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza Strip, which is suffering from a suffocating blockade and a deliberate denial of humanitarian aid supplies.
Al-Mandlawi stressed that the persistence of the crimes committed by the Zionist entity against defenseless civilians in Gaza places the international community before a historical and moral responsibility, which demands urgent and effective action.
In this sense, he called on all international and UN organizations to break the unjust blockade and stop the machinery of slaughter and famine.
Both figures also addressed the general political and economic evolution of Iraq, in light of the current challenges and ways to advance the democratic process.
In this regard, they stressed the fundamental role of national leaders in preserving unity and protecting the country from divisions and conflicts.
