The airline stated on its official website this Monday that the flight landed in the DPRK capital at 3:30 a.m. (Moscow Time), where the event was celebrated with a welcoming ceremony by local authorities.
The report adds that among the passengers was a Russian delegation led by Natural Resources Minister Alexander Kozlov.
The delegation and crew received a wreath. The flight, operated on a Boeing 777-200ER with a capacity for 440 passengers, took off from Sheremetyevo Airport at 7:30 p.m. (Moscow time) on Sunday and took approximately eight hours to arrive.
In-flight announcements were made in Russian and Korean. The Russian government has not ruled out the reestablishment of maritime and ferry services with the DPRK in the immediate future, considering various forms of cooperation between the two countries.
