Gaza, tariffs and Sanchez’s policy in Spain

Madrid, Jul 28 (Prensa Latina) Donation of 12 tons of food for Gaza, moderation on the tariff agreement with the United States and domestic policy were the highlights in the words of the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez.

In his appearance, followed by a brief press conference, Sanchez reviewed the work of his administration in the first semester of the current year, and ratified as well his will to complete the legislature in 2027.

From the Moncloa Palace, the head of the Executive showed an optimistic mood in contrast to recent appearances, beset by corruption plots involving former socialist figures of the PSOE, the party he leads.

Perhaps because of the variety of issues and also because of the uncovering of another major corruption scandal that deeply involves a former minister of the conservative Popular Party (PP), Sanchez boasted about the achievements of his mandate, with emphasis on the economy.

He confirmed that an A400M aircraft will fly over the Gaza Strip and food aid packages will be launched from there.

Regarding the agreement reached yesterday by the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, with the US President, Donald Trump, on the order of 15% tariffs on products from the community block, he was quite sparing.
