The objective is to convene working groups that will operate until December, in which the Interior Ministry will gather proposals and actions in the fight of crime.
These will be Security Meetings, divided into thematic working groups, bringing together representatives of political parties, social organizations, business leaders, workers, and academia, among others.
Measures could emerge from these discussions, and those requiring parliamentary approval will be sent to the Legislative Branch as bills.
The meetings are aimed at defining the National Security Plan, which should be ready by 2026.
Citizen security is the issue of greatest concern to citizens amid the fight against drug trafficking, which is blamed for acts of violence and homicides.
