Cuba ratifies zero tolerance against human trafficking

Havana, July 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez ratified the national policy of zero tolerance toward human trafficking.

He stated this on his profile on the social media platform X on the occasion of today’s celebration of the World Day Against Human Trafficking.

“We are working tirelessly to prevent this serious scourge, through coordinated action by the State and civil society organizations,” he added.

This date has been celebrated since 2013 and was decreed by the UN with the clear intention of raising awareness among the world’s population and governments about this serious problem that has led to the spread of this crime globally.

It is vital to strictly enforce the law, for law enforcement to actively participate, and for the criminal justice system to fight to dismantle organized trafficking networks, ensuring a victim-centered approach.
