As confirmed by the Israeli military spokesman, Avichay Adraee, through his account on the social network X, Hebrew army forces simultaneously raided four sectors of the aforementioned locality, where they confiscated weapons, military equipment and interrogated several residents, accused of alleged arms trafficking.
The action was condemned by the Syrian authorities, who denounced the repetition of such violations by Israel as part of a policy of systematic aggression that threatens regional stability and violates international law.
Damascus has repeatedly called upon the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to take firm action to stop Israel’s continued violations of Syria’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Despite statements by the new Syrian government, in office since December 2024, stating that its country does not pose any threat to the Israeli state, Tel Aviv has intensified its attacks, both land and air, on Syrian soil.
These attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and considerable material damage, including the destruction of military installations, vehicles, weapons depots and ammunition.
