A Presidential information card states that the Presidential Commission for the Electoral Reform will aim to prepare an in-depth assessment of the current state of the electoral and party model.

It must also draft a legislative reform that “is in line with current times in Mexico, where democracy and the people are at the center.”

According to reports, President Claudia Sheinbaum will announce, in the coming days, the remaining members of this commission, who will work in partnership with members of the legislative branch, academics, experts, organizations, and citizens.

This commission will analyze, among other tasks, aspects such as popular representation and citizen participation mechanisms.
