Above all, the visits to these two African countries, which will conclude on August 9, aim to implement the foreign policy of independence, self-sufficiency, multilateralization, and diversification of relations established by the Vietnamese Communist Party and State, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed.
In statements to national media before starting the trip, the deputy foreign minister emphasized the special significance of the tour, which is highly anticipated by both Vietnam and the host countries.
Minh Hang also praised that, amid the current complex situation of the global economy and trade, the Vietnamese head of State’s visits to Egypt and Angola mark an important step in implementing the market diversification policy, especially among potential partners in Africa.
She emphasized that Africa is a continent with 1.5 billion inhabitants, with a growing middle class, abundant resources, and plays an increasingly important role in the global economic landscape.
Furthermore, Minh Hang considered that these visits are a good opportunity for Vietnam and the two African countries to find ways to boost bilateral relations to a new level in a more substantial, effective, and sustainable manner.
