Quoted by The Jordan Times, Shibli explained that the assistance is part of the “For Our People in Gaza” campaign, which reflects the Hashemite Kingdom’s strong commitment to the Palestinian people and responds to King Abdullah II’s vision of providing support to those most in need, both inside and outside the country.
According to the official, the aid delivered includes 883,000 hot food rations, more than 23,500 packages of bread, and approximately 61,000 cubic meters of water distributed among the Gazan population.
He also highlighted that the Jordanian field hospitals deployed in Gaza have performed more than 36,000 surgeries and treated nearly 490,000 patients since the start of the campaign.
This work has been possible thanks to an extensive support network that includes contributions from the Jordanian public, the private sector, civil society organizations, local charities, and partnerships with 114 international agencies, many of them linked to the United Nations system.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Zaid Nawaisa, reaffirmed the Jordanian government’s commitment to maintaining sustained assistance to Gaza.
