In a statement to the Safa News Agency, the Media Office director-general, Ismail al-Thawabta, criticized the systematic military attacks on security personnel in the Strip, which he considered an attempt to disrupt any efforts to protect aid convoys and ensure their delivery to those in need.

Al-Thawabta stated that it aims to undermine any plans for civilian control over the humanitarian situation and replace the responsible authorities with gangs of looters and their agents, thus facilitating the theft of aid and distorting the image of Palestinian society.

He affirmed that such a behavior reflects Israel’s insistence on dismantling the internal organizational system of the coastal enclave and creating an environment of chaos and looting.

He warned that this allows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to promote the perception that he lacks a reliable Palestinian partner to manage relief efforts, which contributes to his plans to restructure the humanitarian landscape following his political and security agenda.

Al-Thawabta stated that attacking security personnel is a crime under international humanitarian law, as it has a direct impact on disrupting aid distribution.
