According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, SCO leaders will meet in the city of Tianjin, near the capital, from August 31 to September 1. “It is believed that with the joint efforts of all parties, the Tianjin Summit will become an event of unity, friendship, and fruitfulness, and the SCO will enter a new stage of high-quality development with greater unity, more cooperation, more vitality, and more achievements,” the Foreign Ministry stated.

At the same time, local media reported details of a phone call between Presidents Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin of Russia.

According to reports, both leaders will work together to ensure the success of this upcoming summit of the organization, of which both countries are founding members.

Numerous reports also confirmed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit China in this context, at a time when India is also facing renewed tensions with the United States due to the imposition of tariffs by Washington.

In fact, the Foreign Ministry reported that leaders from more than 20 countries, including all SCO member states, and the heads of 10 international organizations will attend activities related to this meeting in Tianjin.
