Talks, exhibitions, and book launches are small examples of people’s affection for his figure, as the greatest tribute is the eternal gratitude of those who recognize in his work a beacon of light, an example of modesty, selflessness, altruism, solidarity, and heroism.
The Fidel Castro Ruz Center, whose mission is to study and preserve the work and thought of the Commander in Chief, joins the celebration with its regular tours of the center, as well as other initiatives for children and adults.
The National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) also echoed the date and reserved the La Tertulia space for Wednesday, in the presence of intellectual and president of the Casa de las Americas cultural institution, Abel Prieto, and lawyer, historian, and essayist Ernesto Limia.
Meanwhile, the Jose Marti Memorial will open the solo exhibition “All the Glory of the World,” by Alex Castro Soto del Valle, on Monday.
Amid questions and misunderstandings, in Cuba and elsewhere, Fidel’s legacy is honored and celebrated with the same force with which his words permeated humanity, in a history that cannot be forgotten.
