The Russian Embassy in India informed that the talks, held on Friday, covered a wide range of issues within the framework of the bilateral military-technical cooperation.
Both sides also analyzed the progress of joint projects in other strategic sectors such as civil aircraft manufacturing, metallurgy, and the chemical industry, according to a publication on X by the diplomatic mission.
The meeting between Doval and Manturov was preceded by a telephone call between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin about issues related to India-Russia ties and the war in Ukraine.
The Indian prime minister said the conversation with Putin was pleasant and detailed, and described him as a friend.
The two leaders also reviewed the progress of the agenda between the two nations and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia.
