The Presidency pointed out that, at the same time, Abinader will inaugurate the pedestrian interconnection corridor between Metro Lines 1 and 2.

Santo Domingo Metro takes on board more than 380,000 people every day, who will now be able to travel more quickly and efficiently.
Last July, the Office for Transportation Reorganization conducted tests at the elevated stations on Line 1, following adjustments for the new trains that will operate alongside the three-car trains.
The underground capacity expansion project received financial support from the French Development Agency.
This Sunday, the President will also inaugurate apartments in Paseo del Arroyo neighborhood of Arroyo Hondo, in the capital, according to the Presidency.
