Raising Puerto Rican and Palestinian flags, members of various groups joined the protest called by Mothers Against War, chanting an end to the genocide in Palestine.
“A Puerto Rico without Puerto Ricans is the same as a Palestine without Palestinians,” read a banner calling for an “end to the genocide.”
Joining the protest was Casa Pueblo, which is promoting, from Adjuntas (center), an energy transformation away from the gas proposed by Puerto Rican Governor Jenniffer Gonzalez, to increase production costs and please US President Donald J. Trump.
While the protest was taking place, thousands of LUMA Energy subscribers were without power in various parts of this Caribbean island, which has been under US colonial rule for 127 years.
