The heat is expected to intensify and spread this Tuesday as the heatwave reaches its peak, and in London and the Midlands region thermometers could reach 34 degrees Celsius.
Also from today the amber heat alerts will be in effect throughout England until Wednesday night, reported BBC.
In addition to the daytime heat, the nights will also be hot and humid during the first half of the week.
The UK’s Health Safety Agency has warned that high temperatures can lead to an increase in deaths, especially among vulnerable people, those over 65 and those with health problems.
The Agency urged taking steps to avoid negative consequences, stay hydrated and avoid exposure to the sun at critical times.
