Three helicopters from Joint Task Force-Bravo reportedly arrived on Wednesday to join the maneuvers to strengthen the security of the Panama Canal, their leading objective. On Sunday, a C-130 Hercules aircraft landed at Panama Pacifico International Airport, on the outskirts of the capital, carrying equipment for a training program, the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN) reported.
The organization stated that the equipment will be used in maneuvers until August 23. They are part of bilateral security cooperation and seek to strengthen the tactical and operational capabilities of state security forces, with special attention to the protection of the interoceanic waterway.
The exercise respond to a syllabus developed in partnership with the United States Army’s Jungle Operations Training Center, part of the 25th Infantry Division.
