Alongside with Ruiz, representatives from the Foreign Ministry, the Vice President’s Office, and the Ministries of Defense, Development Planning, Rural Development, and Lands are part of this team to address the planet’s largest resource center.
The commission also includes officials from the State Attorney General’s Office, the Amazonian University of Pando, the Association of Municipalities of that department, and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
It also agreed to establish a Technical Operational Secretariat under the Environment and Water Ministry, and analyze the need to include other national, departmental, and municipal institutions, as well as other stakeholders, such as indigenous peoples, the private sector, universities, civil society, and international cooperation agencies.
