The outlet, close to the Belarusian president’s press service, stated that the two leaders discussed issues on the bilateral agenda, regional topics, and the situation in conflict zones, including Ukraine.
It also added that an agreement was reached to continue contacts. In addition, the Belarusian president invited Trump and his family to Minsk. The invitation was accepted, the message points out.
Previously, the White House chief wrote on his Truth Social account that he looks forward to meeting with his Belarusian counterpart in the future. Trump also described the conversation with Lukashenko as “very positive.”
The US president also thanked Lukashenko for the recent release of 16 prisoners, while also negotiating the release of 1,300 more.
According to Trump, they discussed various topics during the conversation, including the summit he will hold later this Friday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
