During a meeting with ambassadors and heads of Arab and Islamic missions accredited in the country, the president reaffirmed Iraq’s firm and consistent stance in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Rashid condemned the continued aggression against Gaza and described the humanitarian tragedy as a situation that requires a unified Arab and Islamic position to press for an immediate ceasefire, guarantee the delivery of aid, and protect the population.

Also, he reiterated Iraq’s firm support for the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination.

He also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities in seeking a political solution that restores the rights and alleviates the suffering of civilians.

At Baghdad Palace, the parties also discussed the November parliamentary elections, as well as priorities for national recovery and the country’s role in strengthening Arab and Islamic unity in the face of regional challenges.

They also analyzed recent local and international developments and explored avenues to enhance cooperation and expand bilateral and regional partnerships.
