During the meeting, both sides discussed issues related to economy, social affairs, education, health, and religion, with the aim of strengthening the ties of friendship between the two countries.
They also discussed the protection of Burmese migrant workers in Thailand, participation in the upcoming multiparty general elections, and access to accurate information on the situation in Myanmar.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, the Permanent Secretary, officials from the Ministry of Information, and representatives of the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Association.
Diplomatic relations between the two nations were established on August 24, 1948, and have remained strong and close at the governmental, military, and social levels ever since.
