“During an operation of the FSB, the National Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to counteract the sabotage and terrorist activities of the Ukrainian special services, a Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage group was detected and neutralized in Bryansk,” the press release said.
The statement added that the enemy group was composed of career officers of the Special Operations Service under the supervision of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who planned to carry out acts of sabotage and terrorism against transport infrastructure on the Russian territory.
According to FSB data, the control and training of the group was carried out with the participation of employees of Western secret services in Ukraine, as well as in Lithuania, Estonia and Norway.
During the operation, three Ukrainian saboteurs were eliminated and three others detained.
