The DFLP criticized in a statement the White House’s silence on the project, which the Islamic Resistance Movement accepted a few days ago but has so far been ignored by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The leftist organization considered that Washington’s reluctance to announce its position on the proposal is a negative signal and shows “the falsity of President (Donald) Trump’s claims about his commitment to a ceasefire.”
The Palestinian party recalled that before winning elections, Trump promised to end the war, which began 22 months ago.
The DFLP also questioned Netanyahu’s “intransigence and maneuvering” for refusing to accept the plan, which includes a 60-day truce, a prisoner exchange, the entry of more aid into Gaza, and a partial military withdrawal from the territory.
