The co-president of MINH, Julio Muriente Perez, said that the government of President Donald Trump uses as a subterfuge the fight against drug trafficking, while putting at risk the entire region.
“Trump has reached the unacceptable point of offering a multimillion-dollar reward for the capture of Venezuelan President, comrade Nicolas Maduro Moro, by making irresponsible accusations against him.”, the political leader of Puerto Rico said in statements delivered to Prensa Latina in San Juan.
For the member of the national leadership of MINH, “the attitude of the United States government constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, especially in regard to respect for the sovereignty of peoples and nations, enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations (UN).
Muriente Perez stated that the great objective of the US government has always been the destruction of the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela, which has managed to stand for more than a quarter of a century, despite continuous threats, blockades and attacks of all kinds.
“We make an urgent appeal to all people of good will, committed to peace, sovereignty and respect among peoples, to firmly denounce this military and political aggression by the Trump administration against Venezuela,” he said.
