“Congratulations, dear comrades, for this revolution within the Revolution that you are leading,” the president wrote on the platform.
National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament) President Esteban Lazo also expressed his congratulations to the FMC members and highlighted their dedication and commitment to the Homeland’s leading tasks.
On the same platform, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez referred to the FMC’s achievements under the legacy of its founder, Vilma Espin, in the full exercise of women’s equality in all spheres of society.
Rodriguez wrote, “Cuban women have been and are architects and protagonists of the Revolutionary Diplomacy, based on the principles of internationalism, anti-imperialism, solidarity, peace, development, and unity among the South countries.”
The FMC reaches this 65th anniversary as a protagonist of profound social transformations, achieving rights, expanding spaces for participation, and dignifying the lives of Cuban women.
In a message sent to its members on the date, the organization celebrated the achievements that Cuban women have made to gain a presence in the country’s all spheres of society.
