Ethiopia and Japan strengthened bilateral agenda under TICAD9

Addis Ababa, Aug 23 (Prensa Latina) The Minister of Industry of Ethiopia, Melaku Alebel, spoke with the vice president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Ando Naoki, in the framework of the Ticad9, reported the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Alebel led the Ethiopian delegation to the IX Tokyo International Conference on African Development (Ticad9) under the theme “Co-creating innovative solutions with Africa”, held in the Japanese city of Yokohama from August 20-22.

During the discussion, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen cooperation in a wide range of areas including development assistance, technical support, capacity building, trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges.

According to the source, this would lay a solid foundation for an even brighter shared future. On the other hand, the local representation met with the executive vice president of the Foreign Trade Organization of Japan, Takafumi SUZUKI, to discuss ways to further strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
