An analysis by the Statistics Office of the Italian Tourism Ministry, based on surveys conducted by the Data Appeal company, reveals that in terms of travelers’ safety, Italy scored 48.9, pulling away from France, Spain, and Greece, its closest regional competitors.

That analysis assessed the visitor’s satisfaction in seven categories, including dining experience, economic factors and time management, booking process and access, inclusivity and sustainability, hospitality and accommodation quality, quality of experience and comfort, and facilities and services.

The source adds that regarding the satisfaction expressed by tourists in this survey, conducted between January 1 and August 4, 2025, Italy scored 86.4, a 0.6 percent higher over the same period in 2024, ranking second regionally, and surpassed only by Greece.
