Health Minister Musab al-Ali announced that the initiative includes the implementation of specialized programs in various medical areas, distributed across the country’s various governorates, with the goal of improving access, quality, and coverage of healthcare services.
Among the projects is the strengthening of primary and secondary healthcare services, valued at $6 million, as well as the improvement of kidney dialysis treatment with an investment of $10 million, which will be deployed in 13 governorates.
The package also includes cardiac surgery and catheterization programs, specialized surgery in neurology and orthopedics, cochlear implants, prosthetics and rehabilitation, and support centers for language, hearing, and mental health.
In addition, projects will be promoted for the distribution of hearing aids, corrective lenses, corneal transplants, pediatric and adult surgery, and pediatric oncology, along with a national training plan for healthcare personnel.
During the official ceremony, Al-Ali noted that the Ministry of Health has recently renovated more than 40 health centers and 13 hospitals, in addition to inaugurating 12 new medical centers equipped with 188 state-of-the-art medical devices, including oxygen and solar energy systems.
