On the round table discussion show, Trujillo, along with authorities from other ministries, outlined details of the preparation process for the 2025-2026 school year, which begins on September 1.

During the television program, it was revealed that the teacher shortage is decreasing compared to previous years, and the restoration of some 300,000 schools was highlighted.

The minister also highlighted the “enthusiasm and commitment to face the new school year” throughout the country, during which, according to her, the third advanced training program will be implemented.

This consists, he commented, of simplifying the curricular transformation for students in third, sixth, ninth, and twelfth grades through teaching tools.

She also considered important “the official publication of the Code of Children, Adolescents, and Youth on January 28th, which will contribute to the growth of students in society.”

The main event marking the start of the school year, she said, will be held at Tania La Guerrilla teacher’s training center, founded by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz (leader of the Cuban Revolution), in the western province of Pinar del Rio.
