“This arrival represents the beginning of a new era in regional maritime transport, aimed at strengthening trade and moving forward to food sovereignty and increasing production in our countries, besides opening a new chapter in the unity of our peoples,” Venezuelan Ambassador to Cuba Orlando Maneiro said.
For his part, Acting Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Carlos Luis Jorge, noted that each route traveled by this ship honors the memory of the founders of ALBA program and gives us the certainty that we are building a more just and prosperous future for our peoples.
He also remebered the proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace and reaffirmed the Cuban people’s condemnation and rejection of the US deployment of military forces and resources in the Caribbean, as well as the disinformation war used to justify its aggression against the sister Bolivarian nation.
