Lavrov to represent Russia at upcoming UN General Assembly

Vladivostok, Russia, Sept 4 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation to the high-level week of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced.

“The 80th session of the UN General Assembly opens on September 9. The Russian delegation to the high-level week, which will take place from September 23 to 29, will be led by Foreign Minister Lavrov,” the spokesperson said at a press conference on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

She also announced that Lavrov will participate in the next round of the Russia-Gulf Cooperation Council strategic dialogue in Sochi on September 11.

“On the sidelines of this event, bilateral contacts will be maintained between the Russian Foreign Minister and his Arab counterparts,” she added.

The tenth edition of the EEF will take place in Vladivostok from September 3 to 6, 2025, under the theme “Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity.”
